When purchasing, look for the Cushion Grip logo with original formula on the package. Be wary of imitation brands claiming they are a Cushion Grip replacement.

What is thermoplastic technology in dental adhesives?

A thermoplastic dental adhesive requires heat to produce a softer pliable adhesive that provides a soft cushion for gums when applied to a denture. It hardens as it cools creating a stronger hold when compared to ordinary cream/paste dental adhesives. Cushion Grip Thermoplastic Denture Adhesive holds up to 4 days versus other dental adhesives that last 8-12 hours.

Do I still need to clean my dentures daily if the adhesive holds for multiple days?

Yes, please continue to clean dentures daily. The dental adhesive is waterproof and will not wash off with routine daily cleaning. Follow the instructions for removal when hold begins to loosen.

How does Cushion Grip inhibit bacteria causing biofilm?

An ingredient of Cushion Grip, ethyl alcohol, assists in inhibiting growth of bacteria on the inside of the denture plate.

Is Cushion Grip safe for my dentures?

How often should I remove Cushion Grip and reapply?

Cushion Grip is available only in 1 oz packages at this time. 1 oz should last the denture wearer sufficient use for 1 month to 6 weeks depending on whether they are using on both upper and lower denture, one plate, or a partial. Cushion Grip is available as a subscription service either monthly or every other month which can be auto refilled at a discounted price.

How much Cushion Grip should be used for one application?

Application use is dependent on the user’s number of plates (upper, bottom) or partial. The instructions for application state to squeeze out a ball of Cushion Grip ¾ inch in diameter per plate after the tube has been warmed in hot tap water.

I am having a difficult time dispensing the product, what should I do?

Cushion Grip is heat activated, please follow instructions for use by warming the tube in hot tap water for 5 minutes with cap face down into the water. (See instructions "How To apply Cushion Grip"). If the product has completely dried out at the neck of the cap, gently remove dried product from neck by using a wooden manicure stick or tweezer.

Can I use Cushion Grip with another dental adhesive?

Cushion Grip is formulated for optimal use and professional hold. No other additional dental adhesives are recommended to use with the product.

Is Cushion Grip a glue adhesive?

Cushion Grip is not a glue adhesive; it works similarly to a soft reline by filling in the gaps and spaces between your gums and dentures securing your fit. It adheres to your dentures, not to your gums; it only secures the fit with your gums.

How much Cushion Grip should I use for my denture?

Results may vary depending on looseness of denture. The quantity needed to secure your dentures properly may be different for different users.

Does this product contain alcohol?

This product contains a small amount of alcohol, do not use if you have open sores or cuts in your mouth or gums.

Is there any side effects to using the product?

A temporary slight stinging or burning sensation like mouthwash may be experienced at first application even with healthy gums, but should last no more than 5 minutes.
