Cushion Grip is very much different from creams and pastes. It is a soft, pliable material that must be softened in hot water (not boiling) before application.
Heat-Activated: Softens with heat for easy application; sets as it cools for a long-lasting, secure fit
Glue-Free Formula: Sticks only to dentures; mess-free compared to denture creams and pastes
Do Not Use For: Not for broken or extremely ill-fitting dentures; won’t stick to silicone, or metal dentures
How to Apply Cushion Grip

WARM THE TUBE
Cushion Grip is a thermoplastic denture adhesive that softens and becomes pliable when heated, making it easier to dispense.
- Keep the cap on and place the tube cap-side down in a cup.
- Add hot tap water (not boiling) and let the tube warm for 5 minutes.
- Check the tube. Cushion Grip should be soft and easy to dispense.
Note: If dispensing remains difficult, warm the tube in the water for a few more minutes.
DISPENSE & ROLL
Once Cushion Grip is soft and pliable:
- Attach the enclosed slotted key to the end of the tube.
- Turn the key to dispense a ball of Cushion Grip about the size of a dime or 3/4 inch in diameter per denture plate.
Tip: The amount needed depends on how loose your dentures are. Start with a smaller amount and add more if necessary.
APPLY TO LOWER DENTURE FIRST
If you have upper and lower dentures, start with the lower. Otherwise, go to the next step and begin with the upper denture
Make sure your hands and lower denture are clean and completely dry before applying Cushion Grip. Also, perform this step while wearing your upper denture, but without applying Cushion Grip to it yet.
- Begin by rolling Cushion Grip between your palms to form a thin strip.
- Gently place the thin strip of Cushion Grip along the gum groove from one end to the other. Spread it into a thin, even layer over the required area and press it firmly into place.
- Let Cushion Grip set for 5 minutes. This allows the material to begin firming up and taking shape before you insert the denture into your mouth.
- After letting Cushion Grip set, insert your lower denture with your upper denture in place. Bite down firmly for 30 seconds to 1 minute to secure the fit.
Tip: Apply Cushion Grip in small amounts and near the gum groove, and add more as needed.
APPLY TO UPPER DENTURE
If you have both upper and lower dentures, repeat the same procedure for your upper denture.
Make sure your hands and upper denture are clean and completely dry before applying Cushion Grip. Perform this step while wearing your lower denture.
- Begin by rolling Cushion Grip between your palms to form a thin strip.
- Gently place the thin strip of Cushion Grip along the gum groove from one end to the other. Spread it into a thin, even layer over the required area and press it firmly into place.
- Let Cushion Grip set for 5 minutes. This allows the material to begin firming up and taking shape before you insert the denture into your mouth.
- Insert the upper denture and press it firmly against your front gums. Use your thumb to press upward against the roof of your mouth, then bite down firmly for 30 seconds to 1 minute to create a secure suction seal.
Tip: Start with a small amount of Cushion Grip in the gum groove and add more as needed.
Note: During application, mild tingling may occur, similar to mouthwash, for a few minutes due to the small amount of alcohol; letting it sit 10 minutes before inserting can reduce this.
SET & CURE THE CUSHION GRIP
Continue wearing your dentures for 2 to 6 hours to allow Cushion Grip to fully set and cure. The longer you keep your dentures in place, the better Cushion Grip will set.
Avoid removing your dentures, eating, or drinking for the first 2 hours. After 2 hours, you may sip liquids, but avoid holding liquids in your mouth or drinking anything hot.
For the first 24 hours, do not soak your dentures or use other denture adhesives. After 24 hours, you can clean and soak your dentures as usual and use other denture adhesives or powders if needed. Cushion Grip is waterproof and will not wash away or break down in water.
How to Remove Cushion Grip
If you feel the need for a stronger seal after a few days, or it's time for a new application, remove the old Cushion Grip and apply a fresh coat. It's recommended to replace Cushion Grip on your dentures at least once a week for optimal fit.

You can clean your dentures as often as you would like when using Cushion Grip, and it will not harm your denture. There are no restrictions on how often you can clean them or the choice of denture cleaner (Our Brand Ambassador has reported that she just tried about all of them with Cushion Grip ) . However, it’s important to wait for 24 hours after the initial application of Cushion Grip before soaking, scrubbing, using adhesive, or most importantly removing the Cushion Grip
The reaction Kristy experienced may have been due to removing the Cushion Grip before it was properly cured. It’s crucial to allow the recommended curing time to ensure its effectiveness and allow it to set/harden by following the instructions and waiting for the appropriate duration, you can avoid any destructive effects to the inside of your dentures.

Never imagined I would be leaving a review about a denture product.. I discovered cushion grip a few years ago. I tried it once (without following directions) and height it wasn’t working and stashed it away. A few months ago I saw some TikTok’s about it and decided to try again. I will say thereis definitely a learning curve. And following the direction STEP BY STEP, word for word helps. lol. I used the whole tube I had and bought another 2 pack. Still having difficulty with it. I’m currently on my 3rd tube and think I FINALLY got the hang of it. Kinda disappointed because now I’m going to have to buy more AGAIN but it’s definitely worth it once ya get it down. I have a extremely narrow bottom ridge and extremely deteriorating bottom ridge. I suffer from sore spots CONSTANTLY.. but as long as I have cushion grip in I am FINALLY able to eat comfortably without sore spots in the way. Thank you cushion grip for giving me my love for food back.
